Murcia, city of big university tradition, I am provided with a nourished group of tunos that cheer our holidays up and delight us for the streets with his music and happiness. The murcianos we have a good time with the holidays and that's why we celebrate especially the arrival of those of the Quarter of Carmen, in which the villains ones invite us to sing and make us have a good time.

When Barrio del Carmen fulfills the sixth edition of the International Music Festival, I have the big honor of having been distinguished by the title of Grand Master, a title that supposes a real pride for me, like Mayor of Murcia and like murciano, and that makes me be even more joined to dear Barrio. In this special occasion I want to give the welcome to those who visit the Barrio del Carmen owing to his holidays and also to be grateful to those who contribute his efforts and illusions so that this Contest and the rest of the celebrations are an authentic success of local participation. Once again, I want to cheer young people up and major to which they attend at the performances and that they enjoy with them and dream of tapes, tambourines and layers to the sound of the music that wraps this Music Festival.

The tunos are in Murcia to make us happier, to call to the happiness and to the dance and so that we feel a special ambience in these days. We are going to accompany them and to receive them as we know the murcianos.
