The youth imposes on itself and today, more that, I never feel very thrilled of verifying it, of sharing it.

In a few times in which everything goes too fast, where there seem to have been parked these small things - a kiss, a smile, a silence, a song ...-find with enormous satisfaction a tradition more alive than never.

A friend, Carlitos, called me a few months ago when I was in Buenos Aires. Which was my surprise on having received the advertisement of this appointment: " We would like to deliver you the award of the Contest and to make you rascal honorific of the Tuna of District of Murcia ". At my 70 years newly fulfilled it would have the opportunity to take doctor's degree in "tunería", to be Gran Maestre (with everything what this means) and, in addition, in a city that so much I want. Of my heart one appeared " if you say to me come ... " and already you can imagine since the conversation ended.

And it is that to return to Murcia always is a pleasure. A wonderful excuse to meet again with best friends, to receive the heat and the sensibility of the people murciano and, how not, to be able to savour a good rice and costillejas.

The Tuna and I have been cut by the same scissors. We have the same feelings and something very important, love what I think that it is the pure music; a music where only the guitars and the heart are needed.

From here, like Great Master of the X5 International Contest of Tunas "Barrio del Carmen ", I ask them that this music and tradition never die.
